We meet the third Saturday of each month from 9:00 am to 11:30 am at:

Once a month we bring you speakers who are scientists, researchers and in-the-field experts to present topics that uplift your faith in your Creator. The topics answer questions and explore the evidence surrounding the reliability of Scripture, the Creation Account, the global flood of Noah’s day, the complexities and design of biological life and much more. Bring your family and be strengthened in your faith. Know you were created by a loving God.
Refreshments, intellectual stimulation, and a cordial welcome await you. We also have a Creation Book and Video table at every meeting, with a wide selection and discounted prices, including DVDs of past meetings.

“Great Sedimentary Particles I Have Known”
or, ongoing lessons from Mount St. Helens
Bill Hoesch
Sedimentary particles such as boulders,
houses,
cars, and lots of mud were on the move during the 1980 eruption of Mount St. Helens. Bill Hoesch draws from personal experience in explaining how fossils, including dinosaurs, logs, nautiloids, ichthyosaurs, and even the organic debris that became fossil fuels, were also once “sedimentary particles” in the very same sense. Before becoming part of the ancient rock record, these objects were transported in conditions that can only be described as catastrophic. Old-earth sedimentologists have a difficult job in explaining the ancient rock record in terms of “slow and gradual” deposition over millions of years. Come and see how Mount St. Helens continues to be an open door for rational discussion for a historical Genesis Flood of extreme power.
Bill Hoesch is Director of the
Mount St. Helens Creation Center in Castle Rock, WA. He received a Bachelor’s degree in geology from the University of Colorado and a Masters in science from the Institute for Creation Research Graduate School, then in San Diego. He served for 17 years at the Institute for Creation Research, and has been an educator ever since, including a year of missionary service in China and leading field adventures to Grand Canyon.
